Why does my Labrador's coat look lighter?

I have puppy owners ask about why their chocolate lab's coat looks lighter in the summer.

A lot of people assume its from sun lightening and there can be a bit of that but the truth is that Labrador retrievers "blow" their undercoat twice a year (aka shedding).  This will give the lightening or reddening affect.

Don't worry, as long as you don't wash labs with soap, (and I believe, feed Life's Abundance which can be purchased at godivalabradors.com) your furry friend's coat will go back to their beautiful and shiny coats soon enough.

A Day In The Life of a Training Puppy

I got this information from Labradors.com and I'm so impressed I had to share it with all of you!

If you have a puppy and need help, if you are going to get a puppy, if it's been a long time since you've had a puppy, or if you're like me and you love to learn new information, this is the BEST visual I've seen on training and caring for puppy!

This is also specific to Labrador puppies which love love love to chew.
